Your 2026 Expo Casting program is brought to you by the River West Casting Club (RWCC), a
Fly Fishers International (FFI) Associate club in Salem, Oregon.
This year, we allow you to participate in the FREE Fly-Casting Skills Development Program,
where you can develop your casting skills at three different levels and earn bronze, silver, and gold
awards through the FFI. No need to bring your own rod, we will have all the equipment you need.
RWCC will provide raffle tickets to those who are successful at each level, with a chance to win
free Fly-Fishing equipment each day of the Expo.
In addition to FCSD, we will have a Walk-In Casting Doctor area where you can pay $5.00 for a
15-minute one-on-one with an instructor from the RWCC and work on casts that you would like
to improve upon.
RWCC will also provide one-hour sessions with FFI-certified Single-Hand and Two-Hand Casting
instructors. Check in with RWCC both (next to the casting lanes) to see who is instructing that
day and at what times. Feel free to bring your own equipment if you would like. If not, we will
have the rods and reels you will need to take a course. The cost of these one-hour sessions is
$40.00. This will be a first-come, first-served service. So come to the Expo early and sign up. Our
list of FFI Instructors and their certifications is listed below. Our only goals are to improve your
casting abilities and improve your fly-fishing adventures in the great outdoors.
