Club and Council Youth Programs
Youth education programs and encouraging parents to be part of this great sport is important to our organization. Along with our Expo, our Oregon clubs are the leaders of youth programs offered statewide.
The Oregon Council’s Northwest Fly Tyer & Fly Fishing Expo hosts an extensive youth program. It focuses on educating youth and their parents on the benefits of fly fishing and protecting our environment. We provide 6 Education Stations for 2 full days of Fly Tying, Knot Tying, Casting and catch & release fish handling education. We are partnered with Trout Unlimited Blueback’s Chapter volunteer team.

The mission of the Kokanee Karnival Youth Education Program is to provide a dynamic, hands on learning experience to educate and excite elementary school children about clean water, healthy watersheds, and fish conservation while promoting safe and responsible angling, good citizenship, and community stewardship.
